Oil Delivery
Roman Oil answers some of the most common questions that current customers have about oil delivery services.
How do you know when to fill my tank?
We forecast your deliveries by using a degree day system that measures the changes in the temperature. Your individual usage is determined by whether you use your system for heat only or heat and hot water, the size of your home and the number of people living in your household. We combine your individual usage with our degree day system to determine when you need oil and will make a delivery when the level of oil is around 1/4 of tank.

What happens when I run out of oil?
Letting your tank run to the bottom may cause service problems. Sediment settles at the bottom of your tank and when your system sucks up these particles, they may clog the oil filter or the nozzle. We treat all of our oil with Beckett UltraGuard additive to help break down the sludge at the bottom of your tank and clean your oil filter as the fuel cycles through your system. However, it is still not beneficial to let your tank fall below 1/8 of a tank.
